Other Versions of Perrault's Cinderella

The story you just listened to was first written down by a man named Charles Perrault.  He lived in France in the 1700s.  For us to be able to understand the words, his story had to be translated into English.  Each time that happened, the author chose slightly different words and very different illustrations.  This means that -- even though the story started out the same way -- the books look very different.

If you'd like to see some other versions of Mr. Perrault's story, you can check them out of the library!
